I went out for a nice mountain bike ride yesterday. Got my heart rate up and my body all sweaty...it felt fabulous. Anyway, along the way I noticed these grasses that I've actually been noticing for years. After my ride I went and got my camera and got a bit of inspiration...just a tiny bit mind you...

This is first in a series of 4. They look best in full view.

Instant fave... you should really move out to the country (unless you live there already). I've lived out of town for 15 years, and every time I go into a city, I feel... suppressed.

I live in a perfect location...go here and then zoom out. You'll see what I mean.

Close to the city (San Francisco), yet far enough away to hear coyotes at night!

There's my area. The entire surrounding landscape is trees, fields, and grass. Lotsa nice hills to.

Hey, thank for the map link, Dan. [link]
We're actually two house north of Google's guess, but it was still pretty amazing to type in my address and get that close. You don't have to zoom out very far to see my paddling haunts to the east and north.

Yes. The Irondequoit Creek/Bay valley is just east of us. I typically put in where the creek empties into the bay. The Genesee River is just a few miles west.

Fantastic detail and background bokeh. The framing is right on.
